Integration Guide
1. Overview
TelematicsSDK is an Android library designed to simplify the integration of telematics functionalities into your application. This SDK provides tools for managing user and vehicle data, handling permissions, and starting/stopping telematics services efficiently.
This guide explains how to integrate and configure the SDK in an Android project.
2. Prerequisites
- Android Studio: 3.0 or higher
- Android SDK: Minimum SDK version 26
3. Installation
To include TelematicsSDK in your project, follow these steps:
3.1 Add the SDK Maven Repository
The SDK is distributed through a private Maven repository. Access is granted via the repository credentials (access key and secret key) provided by Sentilant.
Add the repository to the repositories block of your project (in settings.gradle under dependencyResolutionManagement, or in the project-level build.gradle):
repositories {
maven {
url = uri("s3://telematics-sdk-repo.s3.amazonaws.com")
credentials(AwsCredentials) {
accessKey "SDK_REPOSITORY_ACCESS_KEY"
secretKey "SDK_REPOSITORY_SECRET_KEY"
}
}
}
Replace SDK_REPOSITORY_ACCESS_KEY and SDK_REPOSITORY_SECRET_KEY with the credentials provided by Sentilant. Do not commit these credentials to source control.
3.2 Add the Dependency
Add the SDK to your app module’s build.gradle:
dependencies {
implementation 'com.sentilant.telematicssdk:telematicssdk:1.1.44'
}
3.3 Updating to a New SDK Version
To update the SDK, change the version in the dependency declaration to the latest release and sync the project with Gradle files.
3.4 TensorFlow Lite compatibility
The SDK includes an on-device machine learning model and depends on LiteRT (com.google.ai.edge.litert:litert), the successor of TensorFlow Lite. This dependency is added automatically, together with the required ProGuard/R8 rules.
If your application already depends on org.tensorflow:tensorflow-lite or com.google.android.gms:play-services-tflite-java, the build may fail with duplicate class errors. In that case, keep only one TensorFlow Lite runtime in your dependency graph (for example, by excluding the conflicting module).
